About Guia Brechó

Guia Brechó helps people discover thrift stores and connects shops with people looking for new places to explore, visit and follow.

Our app brings together stores from different cities and regions of Brazil. It gives people a place to find shops, learn about them and check useful information before visiting.

The idea grew out of how difficult it can be to find thrift stores in an organized way. You might discover a shop through a friend, a social media profile or simply by walking past it. Guia helps make discovery less dependent on chance.

It also gives stores of different sizes another place to present their work, identity, selection and contact channels to new customers. We are building a space dedicated to the thrift store community, with more than just a list of addresses.

How stores join Guia

Store owners can register their own information in the app. A listing can include a name, description, address, location, opening hours, phone number, social profiles, website and categories.

Owners can also indicate that their shop operates online only. This lets both physical shops and businesses that work exclusively online take part.

A store page introduces the business within the platform. We want each profile to communicate the shop’s identity and help visitors understand what they can expect to find.

We continue to improve these pages and add possibilities for stores. Some listings are still simple, while others contain more information. Owners are encouraged to keep their details up to date, and visitors can contact us if they notice something incorrect.

Many shops put care into their selection, service and identity but do not have a dedicated marketing team or much time for promotion. Guia gives these businesses another digital presence.

A shop can share its information, location and contact channels, explain its approach and help new people get in touch. Guia complements Instagram, WhatsApp, websites and other channels that a store already uses. Registering a store is free.

A space for the thrift store community

Guia started with a simple idea: make thrift stores easier to discover. Over time, we want to build a digital space where people exploring stores and businesses sharing their work can find each other.

Tools, content and new ways to connect can make the platform more useful to both groups. We want to develop these by listening directly to the stores that use Guia.
